Sarah Lockett
October 10, 1913 ~ January 17, 2016
Sister Sarah Locket departed this life and entered into God's kingdom on January 17, 2016. She was born to the late Finnis and Birdie Lockett on October 10, 1913 in Scooba, Mississippi. Her family later moved to East St Louis, Illinois, and Sarah became an avid baseball fan and enjoyed attending St Louis Cardinals games. In addition to baseball, she enjoyed watching and attending many wrestling events. Sarah accepted Christ at an early age and honored her Lord and Savior by faithfully serving him as a member of Friendship Baptist Church in E. St. Louis, IL until her health failed. She was preceded in death by her son, Edward Williams; brothers, Matthew and Richard Lockett; and sister-in-law; Esther Lockett. Sister Lockett leaves to mourn her passing, her daughter, Pamela J. Calhoun (James) of San Antonio, TX; granddaughters, Vickie Brown (Joseph) and Nicole Calhoun; one grandson, Michael Calhoun; great grandchildren, Nashira, Shalin, and Joseph Barrington, and Leona Calhoun; great great grandson, Javarius Brown and a host of other relatives and friends. A special thanks is extended by the family to the staff of Regent Care Center for your outstanding care of our loved one.
