Sergio Vargas

Sergio Vargas, 58 of San Antonio, TX. He passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2024. He was born on February 23, 1966 in East Chicago, IN. Beloved son to Jose and Maria (Melchor) Vargas.

He graduated class of 1984 from Washington High. Sergio was a private and down to Earth kind of guy. He loved to play games and fish. He loved spending time with his family and watching the Chicago Cubs. He would always lend a hand when needed no questions asked. Sergio was a funny guy who enjoyed working on cars. He battled kidney disease for eight years, but always kept a strong and positive altitude during his dialysis. Sergio is at peace and will be missed dearly.

Sergio is preceded in death by his father, Jose Vargas and brothers, Jose Vargas, Jr., and Gilbert Vargas.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his younger siblings; Rick (Delia), Robert (Ruby) and sister, Michelle (Quincy); nieces and nephews, Ricky Jr., Alexis, Gilbert Jr., Michelle, Casandra, Antonio, Gustavo, Lusinda, Ronald, Jose, and Quincy Jr.; many uncles, aunts and cousins.
