With heavy hearts but endless love, we celebrate the life of Shannon Lee Macaluso, who earned her wings on March 11, 2025, at the age of 45. She was born to Richard Anthony Macaluso and Theresa Ann Novak on April 30, 1979, in San Antonio, TX.

Shannon was a vibrant, loving soul with a heart that embraced everyone she met. Her laughter was infectious, her presence magnetic, and her warmth made every space feel like home. She had a way of making people feel special, whether through a kind word, a thoughtful gesture, or simply by being herself.

She leaves behind a beautiful family who loved her beyond measure: her father, Richard; her beloved children, Cierra Dejanae, Kiahana Shalee, Alyssa Elaine, Kashau Louise Alice, and Cleveland Donald IV; her precious grandchildren, Everly Mae, Xavier Avant Jr., and Xiara Avery; her loving siblings, Kelly Ann and Zach; and a large extended family and dear friends who were blessed to know her.

Shannon had an unforgettable presence, one that radiated confidence and beauty. She took great pride in looking and feeling her best, always ensuring she looked flawless. Her self-care was more than a routine, it was her way of embracing life with boldness and grace. Whether she was rocking a fresh new hairstyle or putting together the perfect look, she carried herself with a truly inspiring confidence.

Her greatest joy, however, was found in her family. She loved bringing people together around the dinner table. Holidays were her favorite, and she poured her heart into preparing meals filled with love. Thanksgiving and Christmas were extra special, as she made sure no plate was empty. Her kitchen was a place of comfort, laughter, and togetherness—a true reflection of her love.

Shannon also had a deep affection for animals, especially horses and dogs. She admired their strength and free-spirited nature, seeing in them a reflection of herself. She found peace in their company and shared a special bond with every animal she cared for.

She also had a playful and adventurous side, enjoying the thrill of bingo and casino games. Whether she was playing her favorite numbers or taking a chance on a new game, she enjoyed the excitement and the fun it brought. She was also a fierce football fan, passionately cheering for both the Houston Texans and the New Orleans Saints. Sundays were filled with game-day excitement, and she never missed a chance to support her teams.

More than anything, Shannon was a woman of unshakable love, strength, and resilience. She faced life with determination, always striving to make the most of every moment. Her kindness had no limits, her love knew no bounds, and her memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those she touched.

As she entered heaven’s gates, she was welcomed with open arms by her beloved mother, Theresa Ann, her grandparents, Kenneth and Louise Jones, as well as Kenneth Scott and Phillip Gayden. While we grieve her passing, we take comfort in knowing she is reunited with them, watching over us with the same love and care.

Shannon’s love, laughter, and light will never fade. Though she may no longer walk beside us, she will forever live in our hearts, guiding us with the warmth of her spirit.

Rest beautifully, Shannon. Your love will never be forgotten.

  1. CandleImageI had the pleasure of meeting A Shannon at Santa Maria. I must say she helped get through alot in there. We knew alot of the same people and she could relate to my situation. I’m just speechless about this and her not calling me on Facebook anymore. I loved her so very much. And I’m so grateful that I had the chance to have her in my life even if for a short time. I will always love and miss u so much. Just know u will always be in heart. Goo bye ma.

  2. CandleImageI met Shannon in the funniest way back in my early 20s, and she quickly became one of my closest friends…even living with me for a while. She would definitely laugh If told the story 🫶🏼😂 Looking back, I realize our bond was built on shared struggles, but we always lifted each other up and loved each other through it all. We were each others hype man 😂😂 As life took us in different directions, we still stayed connected through mutual friends and those random “love you, great to see you” moments. She had the biggest heart and would do anything she could for others. Sometimes, the ones who struggle the most are the ones who leave behind the most love and unforgettable memories. I will NEVER forget her!! What a light she was!!! Love you always.

  3. CandleImageI’m heartbroken 2 times today. Finding out my friend is gone and that I’ve missed her service is hard to think about. I’ll miss you.
