Silvia Baker

Silvia was born Silvia Alvarez Perez in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas Mexico to Jesus Alvarez(living)and Silveria Perez(deceased). She is survived by her "Mi Amore" loving husband Philip Baker; Children: Jose Antonio Alvarez of Laredo, TX; Rosa Silvia Alvarez, Rosa Isela Arellano, Karla Patricia Morales all of San Antonio, TX; Edgar Edwardo Morales of Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, MX; 13 Grandchildren; numerous Brothers, Sisters, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Friends & Neighbors. She proudly retired from being a Nuevo Laredo Librarian several years ago then came to America to assist any way she could with her daughters and sons. Far into her life she met Philip and found the love of her life. They were married October 13th, 2009. In April 2010 Silvia was discovered to have a rare lung cancer and started chemotherapy. By early July she found that she was winning the battle with this cancer and would go into remission in August but then Pneumonia and an unknown infection ravaged her severely damaged lungs causing her lungs to not oxygenate thus making life on this earth impossible. The Lord called her home at 12:01am August 2, 2010. Silvia had a special gift, everyone she met or touched fell in love with her recognizing her honest gracious heart and her special ways of compassion for others. She always worried about everyone else before herself also asking God's help for them not herself. She always sacrificed herself for the love of her family. Saturday Aug 14, 2010 we celebrate her life, mourn her passing, but those of us who had he "Honor" of being with her when she passed unto the Lords Hands witnessed a Miracle of a truly beautiful woman entering the spiritual world knowing she will be one of God's most treasured Guardian Angels.
