Stella L. McVea

Stella L. McVea was born October 23, 1941, in Luling, Texas, to Oneida and Will Williams. She passed away October 25, 2018, in San Antonio, Texas. Stella L. McVea was a graduate of Luling High School. Durring her time in high school her family owned a burger restaurant. While she was working at this restaurant she met, Dewey Dudly McVea Jr., and this meeting would eventually blossom into a, wonderful, 57 year marriage. After high school she would do social work at The Ella Austin Community Center for over 20 years. Stella loved watching her morning news. She enjoyed the television series, "The Young and the Restless," and was a huge spurs fan. She loved her family and will be missed by so many. Stella is survived by her husband, Dewey Dudly McVea Jr.; son, Dewey D. McVea III (Michelle); step-daughters, Debra Denise McVea, Cheryl Lynn McVea; brothers; Curtis Williams (Arlean), Willie Williams, and Douglas Williams (Diana); grandchildren, Dakota, Darren, Deryk, and Heaven, Takeisha, Darnell, and Syreeta; with a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
