August 4, 1967 ~ January 2, 2011

Stephanie Elaine Hill, (whose beautiful name was chosen by her Father), was born to two young parents, Willie B. And Geraldine Williams Hill, in San Antonio, Texas, on August 4, 1967. As the firstborn child of her mother and father, and the first grandchild of Mrs. Verlene Francis (known to all as "Maw Maw"), Stephanie, (who we all called "Elaine") was spoiled and loved by everyone. Those pretty little cheeks received many, many kisses. Her Uncle Bernard would kiss her face until she giggled in delight. As Elaine grew, she was this skinny little beautiful girl, who really wanted to be a model. Her Aunt Velma loved to take family pictures. When everyone else was ducking out of camera range, Elaine was jumping in front of the camera, and practicing her model poses. The years passed. Elaine proudly graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1985. She was so happy and smiled and posed for Aunt Velma. She gave up the modeling career dreams and began to work very hard to take care of everyone she ever met. Her desire to help others led her to the health field. It is where she belonged. That little girl smile, on those rosy cheeks could make you smile and feel better, even when you did not want to. Elaine loved her parents, and stepbrothers, but when her little sister, Lola, was born, she just fell in love with her. Lola eventually gave birth to Stefan, Dee-Dee, and Xavier, and Elaine's love for them and theirs for her, grew with each birth. Her circle of friends also grew, beyond belief, because she was so accepting of those she cared for. Elaine's life journey was not always easy, but she made everyone believe that she could handle anything with that smile. We are shocked that her journey has ended so suddenly! How can this be? How could this happen to this wonderful, beautiful, giving person? None of us are perfect, but we do the best we can. That is exactly what Elaine did. Those of us who loved her, and those she spent her life caring for, will always miss her, and that smile. We know that God called her to be with him, because he saw that she was suffering, and did not know how to help herself. He called her home, so that the pain and suffering would go away, and so that, finally, she would have no choice but to let HIM take care of HER. We realize that we must all go to be with God, but we are grieving the loss. Stephanie Elaine Hill, is GONE TOO SOON.. Not only did she have a passion for her family and friends, but Stephanie's favorite hobbies included fishing and fixing up cars. If anyone asked her "Do you want to go fishing?" She would say "yeah", and would be ready in an instant, because she stayed ready to go fishing. When it came to fixing cars, she was on it, as she said, so she could be "stylin". Her memory will be honored by her parents, Geraldine Williams and Willie B. Hill, her sister, Lola Hill and brother, Leroy Smith; stepbrothers, Charles Bryant, Keith Bryant; stepsister, Lawanda Bryant; two special boys she love as her own, Elijah and Elandre; grandmother, Verlene Francis(Maw Maw); nieces and nephews, Stefan T. Hill, Diondra S. Holder, Xavier V. Hill, Tenachia Bryant and Jordan Bryant; a wonderful family of beloved aunts and uncles and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
