Born in: San Antonio, Texas
Resided in: San Antonio, Texas

Steve Lara was born in San Antonio, Texas on January 2nd, 1966 to Juan Davila Lara & Graciela Santana Lara.

He enjoyed nature and often took in the beauty of God’s creation by bike riding or going for a run.

He was a hardworking and responsible individual and a great role model for everyone.

He found a career working with automobiles rewarding and had a mutual respect for his colleagues.  He was a great leader and exemplified great character through his actions; which are trustworthiness, respect for all and compassion.

He was kind and loving to everyone in the family, gave them good advice & made them laugh with his funny jokes.  He was a very caring & humble man who believed in God and received God’s grace & mercy.  He was given grace and peace and patience throughout his life.  The Lord gave him a peace that surpassed all understanding during the most difficult time in his life.  Steve went on to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on July 26, 2025 and his legacy lives on through all of the lives he touched.

Steve is survived by his mother Graciela Santana Lara, his siblings: Angela Lara & Veronica Lara Dallahan (John Joseph Dallahan); his niece Jacqueline S. Oquendo Guerra (Luis Guerra); his great-nephews, Logan and Leon and his great-niece Delilah. As well as many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
