But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31) KJV
Vincent Edward Wilson was born to Grace Wilson and Julius Wallace in San Antonio, Texas on July 2, 1963. He attended local schools and graduated from Thomas Edison High School. He was an avid fisherman, car enthusiast, mechanic and loved his job, driving 18-wheeler trucks. He also truly loved life to the fullest through simple pleasures, such as traveling on cruises and thru the small towns of Texas in search of the perfect barbecue especially sausage. He was affectionately called "V.W. Trill" by family and friends.
Vincent accepted the Lord at an early age and rededicated his life to Christ as an adult and was baptized again at Memorial Baptist Church under the direction of Rev. James Sanders. He loved the Lord and attended services when his health allowed. Vincent married the love of his life, Jacquelyn Gray. They were together 32 years and were only separated by his untimely death. He was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to many.
Vincent was preceded in death by his parents Grace Wilson and Julius Wallace, brothers Roy, Glenn, Waddy, Wyadel, Reginald, Jesse and sister Patricia. Vincent leaves to mourn his passing: his wife, Jacquelyn Gray Wilson, sons Vincent Wilson and Jermaine (Monicque) Bowens, daughters Jasmyne (Chris) Wilson and Javonne (Trevor) Hamilton, 9 grandchildren, his sisters: Barbara (Robert) Morgan, Gwendolyn Wilson, mother in love Virginia Ruth McKinney, Christine Kindred, Brenda McKinney, Cindy McKinney, Juliet (Frank) Washington, Ofelia (Ricky) Allen, Julia (Joseph) McKinney, and Cynthia (James) Dale, brothers Julius Wallace and Scott McKinney, best friend Corliss Taylor; as well as numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Vincent was called home to be with our Lord on Friday, November, 2, 2018 at the age of 55.
