Willie Trembles, Jr.

Willie Trembles Jr., was born into the union of Willie Trembles and Josephine Maxine Hall, on May 29, 1952, at Baptist Memorial Hospital, San Antonio, Texas. He was a big baby, weighing in excess of 10 pounds. Jr. as he was affectionately called all of his life, also accepted Christ at an early age. He along with his older three siblings, Phyromn Edger, Massie Lee, and Helen Fay, were all four baptized on the same day, at Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, by the late Rev. W.G. Gillespie. Shortly afterwards Progressive MBC split, and Rev. Gillespie organized Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. Several months later, after the split, and assured that Mt. Gilead had secured a permanent place for worship, Deacon Trembles along with Josephine and their four children, all joined Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. Jr., along with his mother and siblings all left Mt. Gilead, after his father who was now in ministry, was called to pastor Saint James Baptist Church, in Belmont, Texas. Throughout Jr.s as well as his three siblings lives, church was all that they knew. They all regularly attended Sunday school, morning, evening and night services, baptist training union, sung in the childrens, and youth choirs. Jrs last church affiliation upon his death, was Tenth & Ave M Church of Christ, Temple, Texas, under the pastorate of Rev. William C. Donaldson. As a member there he sung with the brotherhood, and studied the word of GOD. The brotherly love, recognition and support this church and its congregation provided him was seen as far back as 2006, when some of his church brothers traveled from Temple, Texas to San Antonio, Texas to check on him during the loss of his mother, and giving him a love offering and a beautiful pot plant. Were it not for this churche embracing him in so many ways, he may not have found his way back to the LORD, as well as been successful in beating his drug addiction. Jr. received all of his early years of education through the San Antonio Independent School District, just like his older siblings. It was while playing football at Poe Middle School, that he was tackled, and badly fractured his right knee. The fracture required emergency surgery, and after his recovery, he went into a growth spurt which caused him to reach a height of 64. Jr. graduated from Brackenridge High School in the class of 1970. He then attended St. Philips Jr. College studying some area of technology. After leaving St. Philips, he joined the United States Marines. He received an Honorable discharge from the Marines on 1 August 1974. Jr. left the Marines early due to reoccurring pain in both knees. Upon his return home from the Marines, Jr. met and married Emma Louree Neuse. Four children were born to their union: Sheri, Willie III (Buba), Roscell, and Joseph. GOD decided to call Jrs soul and spirit back home to the kingdom, on Friday, September 1, 2017, at 5:45 AM., Preceding him in death are his wife Emma Trembles, his two sons, Buba and Joseph; parents Rev. Willie and Josephine Trembles, brother, Phyromn E. Conner Trembles, Sister Helen Fay Trembles, as well as his grandparents, uncles, and aunts. He leaves here to rejoice at the fact that he is no longer suffering as he bravely fought cancer, his two daughters Sheri (Wayne) Coleman (Atlanta, GA), Roscell Trembles (San Antonio, Texas), three grandchildren,; Shayne, Shenaye (Justin De Loach), and Shandon, all of (Atlanta GA.), one sister in law, Brenda (Charles Ashley), San Antonio, two brother in laws, Dale Neuse and Johnnie Wilson the spouse of his only surviving sister, Massie; and one niece and nephew, April (Anthony Clay ), and Brandon L. Wilson.
