April 1, 1955 ~ March 17, 2017
Wilma Jean Bell went to be with the Lord in her home in San Antonio, Teas on Friday, march 17, 2017 at age 61. She was the beloved wife of Thomas Lewis Bell for 42 years. Wilma was born April 1, 1956 to the late James Taylor and Irma Jean in Brownsville, Tennessee. She grew up while traveling throughout the United States. Wilma was a contestant in the Church of God in Christ Purity pageant while living in Anchorage, Alaska. Wilma completed her studies in Art and Nursing Assistant. She worked at Ritzy Catering owned and operated by her family for several years. She worked with her mother and family for 25 years at Granny's House, a residential care facility in San Antonio, Texas. She alos volunteered during Jesus jam at Christian World Ministries and several other community events throughout the years.
She was a faithful member of the choir and youth department in her early years while attending Childress Memorial Church of God In Christ. She later joined New Creation Christian Fellowship Ministries, where the Pastor is is the Honorable Bishop Michael Copeland and Pastor Claudette Copeland, there she was an acitve member unitl her illness. Wilma enjoyed dancing, crafts and spending time with friends and family. Wilma could always find a reason to smile, she enjoyed life.
Wilma accepted Christ as a youth. She recommitted her life to Jesus while attend New Creation Christian Fellowship.
Wilma love her family very much and before taking ill she would move heaven and earth to help them and assist them in any way. She worked very hard and diligent at any task to exceed the desired expectations. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Bell, her mother, Irma Jean Hendry; siblings, Clifford, Murlena, Orlando, Georgia, Eric, Bruce, James; nieces and nephews, Shonta, De'Rick, Carlos, marques, Darren, Matthew, Mark,Ida, Azlee, Meeka, Terrence, Carl, Sham, Marcus, Zion, Fitch, Christina, Erica, Clayton and many more. She has a host of aunts and uncles and cousins, to name a few; Aunt Margie, Aunt Tina, Aunt Van, and Uncle William; cousins, Thea, Joe, Herva, Jerome, Pamela, Tina and more. She has a host of relatives not mentioned due to the large capacity. Although Wilma will be greatly missed we will hold her in our hearts. She will forever be remembered for the laughter and kindness in her voice. We love you Wilma and will see you again.
