Carolyn Lucille Washington Means was born November 26, 1946 to Doris and Charles Washington, Sr., In San Marcos, TX. She attended school in San Marcos before the family relcated to San Antonio.

Carolyn graduated from Phillis Wheatley High School in 1965 and remained active with the class reunions and other activities. She worked for years with Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES), where she traveled overseas before retiring from AAFES, she continued to work for several Group Homes before taking ill.

“Carolyn never met a stranger.” She enjoyed life and always had a good time where ever she was.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Doris and Charles, Sr., her sister Katherine Washington, her grandmother, Lillian Bruin, an aunt, Geniva Rector, and nieces, Charlene and Effie Washington.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her 2 brothers, Charles Washington, Jr. and James “JC” Washington, her Aunt Mary Hardeman (whom she loved dearly), her friend, Marvis Box and a host of other relatives and friends. She will definitely be missed by all.
