Shirley Ann Grubbs, a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on October 25, 1946, in Springfield, Ohio, and lived a life centered on faith, family, and selfless love for those around her.
Shirley was known for her exceptional cooking and baking, often filling her home with the comforting aromas of meals made with love. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she lovingly spoiled. Her kindness, generosity, and caring spirit touched everyone who knew her. Shirley accepted Christ at an early age and remained a faithful follower throughout her life, guided by compassion, grace, and unwavering devotion to her loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Louise Parker; her brother, Willie Parker; and her aunt and uncle, Kenneth and Patty Haley.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of nearly 60 years, Jasper Ernest Grubbs; her son, Kenneth Grubbs and wife Sandra; her daughters, Ann Hernandez and husband Arthur, and Melissa Lopez and husband Anthony. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren Sasha, Gabriella, Alexandria, Adrianna, Andrew, Abigail, Madison, and Landon; and great-grandchildren Easton, Walker, Gentry, and Drew.
Shirley’s legacy of love, faith, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be missed dearly and remembered always for her warm heart, gentle spirit, and the unwavering love she gave so freely to her family.
