With profound sadness and enduring love, we announce the passing of Walter Saldana, Jr., who entered eternal rest on July 9, 2026, at the age of 70. Born on September 19, 1955, in San Antonio, Texas, Walter was the beloved son of Walter Saldana, Sr. and Rosa Quiroz, both of whom preceded him in death.
Walter will be remembered as a loving brother, devoted uncle, and faithful friend whose kindness, humor, and unwavering optimism left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He possessed a remarkable ability to bring smiles to those around him with his quick wit and playful sense of humor. No matter the circumstances, Walter maintained a positive attitude and chose to focus on the blessings in life.
Walter had a passion for riding motorcycles, embracing the freedom of the open road, and enjoyed making memorable trips to Las Vegas. Whether sharing stories, cracking jokes, or simply spending time with those he loved, he treasured life’s simple moments and the company of family and friends.
For many years, Walter courageously battled ALS with extraordinary strength, grace, and resilience. Though the disease presented immense challenges, it never diminished his caring spirit or his ability to inspire others through his perseverance and hopeful outlook. His courage in the face of adversity will remain an enduring example to all who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish his precious memory are his beloved siblings: James Smith and his wife, Lesley, Rosita Ybarra, Yvonne Cisneros and her husband Javier Cisneros, Yvette Gonzales, and Andy Saldana, along with many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts.
Although Walter’s physical presence will be deeply missed, his laughter, compassion, resilience, and love will continue to live on in the countless lives he touched. His memory will forever be a source of comfort, inspiration, and love for those who were blessed to call him family and friend.
May he rest in eternal peace, reunited with his beloved parents, and may his legacy of courage, kindness, and joy live on forever.

My first ALS symptom occurred in 2016, but was diagnosed in 2018. I had severe symptoms ranging from shortness of breath, balance problems, couldn’t walk without a walker or a power chair, i had difficulty swallowing and fatiue. I was given medications which helped but only for a short burst of time, then I decided to try alternative measures and began on ALS Formula treatment from Aknni herbs centre, It has made a tremendous difference for me (Visit ww w. aknniherbscentre.c om).
