Wesley Arington Jr.

Wesley Arington Jr., beloved son, husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, dedication, and generosity.

Wes was born on April 27, 1940, in Portageville, Missouri, to Wesley Arington and Luevenia Tate Arington. He was one of three brothers, growing up alongside Gene and Don Arington.

In May 1975, Wesley married the love of his life, Margaret Jean Arington. Together, they built a life centered on family, love, and commitment. Margaret remained his beloved wife until her passing.

Wes proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from March 1959 until March 1979. During his twenty years of military service, he served during the Vietnam War and attained the rank of Technical Sergeant. His military career reflected his strong sense of duty, discipline, and commitment to serving his country.

Following his military retirement, Wes continued his professional career with State Farm, where he worked for 18 years before retiring in 2002. He also valued education and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) in May 1984.

Wesley will be remembered as a loving and generous goal oriented man who believed in taking care of his family and helping others. He gave freely of his time, his resources, and his heart. His quiet strength, wisdom, kindness, and dedication to those he loved left an enduring impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Wesley was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margie; his parents, Wesley Arington and Luevenia Tate Arington; and his brothers, Gene and Don Arington.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Debra Lewis, Leroy Sance Jr., and Phyllis Sance; his grandchildren, Demetria Sance, Brandy Lewis, and Monisha Sterling; and his great-grandchildren, Xion LaGrant, Samuel Padgitt Jr., Xya LaGrant, and Perris Woods.

Though Wes is no longer with us, the love he gave, the lessons he taught, and the memories he created will live on through the generations that follow him. His legacy is reflected in the family he loved so dearly and in the many lives made better by his presence.

Wesley Arington Jr. lived a life of service, love, perseverance, and generosity. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
