Margaret Wilson Fowler passed away at her home in San Antonio on February 19, 2012, surrounded by her family. Margaret was born on March 8, 1930 in San Antonio. She graduated from Brackenridge High School in 1947 an attended Texas State College for Women. Margaret devoted her life to her family and friends, as well as St. Mark's Episcopal Chruch, where she served on the altar guild. An avid traveler and a great lover of the arts, Margaret will be dearly missed by those who loved her. She is survived by her son Laird, his wife Paula, and their three sons, Austin, Travis and Landis; daughter, Betsy; son, Joe and his wife Debbie, daughter, Bridget Dupree and husband Derek, and their sons, Clay and Mark and wife Mechelle, and their children Sean, Katy and Ali. She also leaves behind two brothers, Jim Wilson and wife Betty, and Fred Wilson and wife Barbara, many nieces and nephews, long time companion, Richard Sampson, and a cherished circle of friends. Margaret's family would like to extend its eternal gratitude to Rosa Cruz for the many years of care and love she has given to four of its generations. A celebration of Margaret's life will take place at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in downtown San Antonio on Thursday, February 23 at 11:00 AM. The Rev. Michael Chalk will officate.
