Alice; Many thanks for the countless hours of counsel during the early years of our marriage. We are still together 23 years later. We will always remember your guidence. Our thoughts and prayers are with ALL who have been left behind. And one day, God willing, we will see you again.
John and family: I am so sorry to hear of Alice’s departure. It is wonderful to have known her; she had few (if any!) equals in charm, in hospitality, in knowledge, in wit and in wisdom, and I learned so much from her. I’m very sorry for your loss.
Special memories are a gift that sustain us through all kinds of weather. Thank you for your kindness, open heart, warm friendship and the memories that have and will keep a smile on my face whenever I think of you. Till we meet again, be at peace.
My condolences to John, Padraic, and the rest of her family.
Alice was an unusual person and I remember enjoying several interesting conversations with her, at all hours of the night. She was my friend, and she was also the DM at my bachelor party.
mom, we sit here daily and wounder why you were called away. in our harts we know you are still with us, but are selfish in wanting you back. we miss you so much! there are times i wounder if we will get by without your wisdom, and scolding..lol…but it was always done with love. see you when we take our ride in the sky mom!
If roses grow in heaven, Lord, pick a bunch for me. Place them in my Mother’s arms & tell her they’re from me. Tell her that I love & miss her, & when she turns to smile, place a kiss upon her cheek & hold her for a while. Because remembering her is easy. I do it everyday. There’s an ache within my heart that will never go away. Happy Mother’s Day in Heaven.
I am not sure if this is the right Alice Staton, but it probably is. I was a friend of hers, and of both her sons, mike and eric, especially eric padreic staton, whose father was named david and at least at one time lived in louisiana, if memory serves. I would be very sad to hear of Alice’s passing. She was a good friend of mine. But I’m not completely sure I have the right person here.
If this is the right Alice Staton, her son Eric, aka Pat (who only I was ever allowed to call Pat) would remember me for sure from the band back with scott and alan in devine, tx.
If this is the right person, please have someone contact me with Eric’s information. If not, then I apologise for posting in this memory page, but I do offer my condolences for the loss of your loved one.
I thought of you recently, Alice, as well as Eric and Mike…thought I’d look you guys up on the internet and was heartbroken to hear this news. You were always a good friend and confidant. I’ve missed talking with you.
well mom, it has been a very painfull year without you here to guid us! we made it with just a few bumps, but we still and allways will have you close to our hearts! don’t forget to ride that bike you’re on by sometime and check on us to say hi! we will hear you! love and miss you soo much.
I’m not sure if this is the Alice Staton I knew years ago. If I have the wrong family please forgive this post. We were stationed together in the Air Force at Homestead AFB. Her husband was David and he was a Physician Assistant. She had two young sons and two Siberian Huskies named Oden and Loqui. Please get in touch with me, I’m trying to get in touch with my husbands’s old friends from his AF days. I would love to hear from David. I’m so sorry that Alice is gone, I would have loved to talk to her again. She made me a black and white dress to wear to a graduation ceremony once and I still think of it now and again. We also swapped assignmenst with David once.
