Jean Nichols, age 79, of San Antonio, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2018. Jean was born to John Emmett Nichols and Clara Nichols Landy on February 8, 1939. Family and friends were Jeans passion and delight. Jean is survived by her children, Michael Garcia and his wife, Robin of Charlotte, North Carolina, Lynn and her husband, Stephen Yates of Edmund Oklahoma, Glenn Garcia of San Antonio, and Arthur Garcia and his wife, Pat of Georgetown, TX. Jean is also survived by her sisters, Peggy Bartosh of Garland, TX., Patricia Nichols of Hoffman, Illinois, Bonnie Laskowski, of San Antonio, Jolene Taylor and husband Tim of Point Venture, TX.; two brothers, John Nichols and his wife, Nova of Burnet, TX., and Preston Nichols and wife, Anita of Atascosa, TX.; two beloved grandchildren, Derrick and Brandi; three great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and loving friends. Jean was an active member of the Catholic Church. Jean has requested a private burial and funeral. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her illness. Arrangements are provided by Meadow Lawn Funeral home and Burial/Graveside Service will be at Mission Burial Park North at 20900 IH10, exit 552, in San Antonio, Texas.
