Jessie M. Walker was born in San Antonio, Texas to Jessie and August Gaines on October 22, 1945 and went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at the age of 73years. She was one of four children and a twin. Jessie was a licensed beautician and opened her own business “Jessie’s Beauty Salon” she retired after many years of service. She was one of the best cooks as you know. Her family will miss her homestyle cooking from scratch…Her Pineapple pound cakes, pies and biscuits. Jessie is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Walker and grandson, Melvin Walker III. She is survived by children, Kevin King, Melvin Walker Jr., George B Walker and his wife, Monica Walker; 10 grandchildren; brother, Richard Freelon; sister, Willie Gaines and a host of other relatives and friends.
