Abril Velez Gaona

Abril Velez has gone to be with Lord in Heaven December 2, 2021. She was born April 13, 1997 to Cesar and Leticia Velez. Abril was a loving soul. At a young age, she discovered her love of music. She started playing the flute and piccolo at MLK Academy and went on to continue her music education at Sam Houston High School. Abril was always responsible, sweet and noble. She whole-heartedly cared about her family and friends and would do anything to help them when needed. Being the oldest of four, she became like a second mother to her sisters. Her greatest joy in life was becoming an aunt to her nephew, Abraham. Abril is preceded in death by her grandmothers, Consuelo De La Rosa and Alicia Rocha. Abril’s sweet spirit will always be remembered and cherished by all those whose lives she touched. Left to cherish her memory are her loving parents, Cesar and Leticia Velez; siblings, Arlette Velez, Mya Velez, and Abby Velez; her beloved nephew, Abraham Velez; grandfather, Jesus Velez; aunts and uncles, Jesus (Karla) Velez, Omar Velez, Saul (Teresa) Velez, Ariana Velez, Elizabeth Gaona, Rosy Gaona, Juan Gaona, Mario Alberto Gaona and Angelica Rocha; numerous cousins, extended family and friends. Abril Vélez ha ido a estar con el Señor en el cielo el 2 de diciembre de 2021. Nació el 13 de abril de 1997, hija de César y Leticia Vélez. Abril era un alma amorosa. A una edad temprana, descubrió su amor por la música. Comenzó a tocar la flauta y el piccolo en MLK Academy y continuó su educación musical en Sam Houston High School. Abril siempre fue responsable, dulce y noble. Se preocupaba de todo corazón por su familia y amigos y hacía cualquier cosa para ayudarlos cuando fuera necesario. Siendo la mayor de cuatro, se convirtió en una segunda madre para sus hermanas. Su mayor alegría en la vida fue convertirse en tía de su sobrino, Abraham. Abril es precedida en la muerte por sus abuelas, Consuelo De La Rosa y Alicia Rocha. El dulce espíritu de Abril siempre será recordado y apreciado por todos aquellos cuyas vidas tocó. Quedan para atesorar su memoria sus queridos padres, César y Leticia Vélez; hermanos, Arlette Vélez, Mya Vélez y Abby Vélez; su amado sobrino, Abraham Vélez; abuelo, Jesús Vélez; tías y tíos, Jesús (Karla) Vélez, Omar Vélez, Saúl (Teresa) Vélez, Ariana Vélez, Elizabeth Gaona, Rosy Gaona, Juan Gaona, Mario Alberto Gaona y Angélica Rocha; numerosos primos, familiares y amigos.
