Adrian "Jay" Jerome Rowell, 68, went home to the Lord, on August 3, 2016. He was the husband of Linda Rowell. They shared 34 years of marriage together. Born in Lubbock Texas, he was the son of Leslie and Lucille Rowell. He graduated from Monterey High School. He joined the Navy after High School where he found his passion in aviation. His choice of profession took him around the world. He retired from the aviation industry after 44 years as a Master Aircraft Mechanic. He attended Community Bible Church. Jay enjoyed wood crafting, history, deep sea fishing, and jig saw puzzles. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, love for learning, and generous heart. He is survived by his wife Linda Rowell, his daughter Megan Rivera and son-in-law Michael Rivera, and his grandchildren Mason and Miles Rivera. He is also survived by his sister Patricia Sanford and husband Mike, brothers, Allen and wife Sharon, Steve and wife Robin, and Jarrell and wife Kathryn and nieces. The grave side service will he held on Monday, August 15, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd. San Antonio, TX 78209.
In lieu of flowers a donation may be made in the name of Jay Rowell to the charity of choice.
