Born in: San Antonio, Texas
Resided in: San Antonio , Texas

It is with great heartache and sorrow that we announce the passing of Alberto Ruiz Moreno. Alberto, “Beto,” “Big Al,” passed on March 6, 2022. Though he has gone to his eternal rest, he has left behind a legacy that will live on forever through his immediate and extended family.

Love of family. Strong work ethic. Dedicated in Faith. Enjoyment of life. Respect for people. And compassion for anyone in need of help. These are the values he instilled in all of us.

Many who knew Dad described him as always being happy and with a smile. Obviously, they did not grow up with him. Lol. Though Dad could be strict in our upbringing, we knew it came from a place of love and always wanting us to have a better life than he had.

Father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend…. you will be missed by many. We will always have you in our hearts through your stories, your “consejos,” and your “bendiciones.” Please give Mom and Cynthia a big hug and kiss for us. And we know Grandpa and Grandma are happy to finally be reunited with their baby boy. We love you.

Alberto is survived by his brother Amando (and family), son, Albert (wife Elia), daughter Cruz (husband Robert), daughter Matilde (friend Richard), son Hilario, (wife Elisa), and late daughter, Cynthia Ann (husband Jose Carlos). Also by his grandchildren, Luke, Betito, Mando, Sarah, Sophie, Axelito, Santi, Jose Carlos “Lalito” and Cruz Alberto “Chicken Pollo.”
