Alicia V. Hinojosa

Alicia Vela Hinojosa was called home to her eternal rest on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at the age of 77. Alicia was born on March 23, 1939. She was raised by her mother Genoveva G. Zarate and step-father, Luis B. Zarate. She married her husband Gilberto Perez Hinojosa on May 25, 1954. Together they raised 9 children. Alicia was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 44 years Gilberto Perez Hinojosa and her youngest son Angel Hinojosa. She is survived by 8 children, Jesus Hinojosa, Gilbert Hinojosa Jr., Joe Hinojosa (Loretta), Maria Hinojosa Cabrera (Gilbert), Diana Hinojosa Cansino, Mario Hinojosa (Sylvia), Elvira Hinojosa Hunt, and Anita Hinojosa. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
