Allen "Buddy" L. Branch

allen

Allen Lenoris Branch was born March 30, 1959, the middle child of three children to the late Lenoris and Viola Redden Branch in San Antonio, Texas, Bexar County.  Proceeded in Heaven by his oldest sister, Loretta Wolridge of Missiouri City, Texas.

Allen received Christ at an early age and was baptized at New Hope Baptist Church by the late Rev. Houston Duncan in San Antonio, Texas.  Allen continued to be a faithful servant of the Lord.  He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Joshua Joubert.  Allen was a member of the Annual Brotherhood Prayer Breakfast and the City Wide Baptist Church Brotherhood.  Allen’s strong faith in God, love for his family and unconditional love from his family has kept him.  Until that unexpected hour when Jesus called out to him, “Have a seat my son, come to Me, your job here on earth is complete.” And as an obedient son, Allen took a seat, laid his hat and handkerchief on his chest for his eternal rest.

Allen received his education from Louis W. Fox Academic Technical High School graduating in May of 1976.  After graduation he moved to Houston, Texas and Los Angeles, California for work as a machinist and lathe operator for several iron works and oil companies.  Bubba will always be remembered as that smooth cowboy, whose smile would light up a room and many would say he was as cool as a “Summer’s Breeze”.  Bubba Branch could be found at any rodeo or trail ride from San Antonio, Giddings, Houston or any country town in between.  With just a finger of chewing tobacco in his jaw, crisp new button up on, bandana, sharp pair of blue jeans, Texas size belt buckle, gator boots and please don’t forget the cowboy hat.  Allen came back home to San Antonio to reside across from his childhood home, to be near his best friend, father, and biggest admirer Lenoris “Buddy” Branch where they saw to each other until God called his father home to be with his wife, Viola “Freddie” Branch.

Allen leaves to cherish his memories sister, Bertrine Williams (Michael) of Schertz, Texas; nephew, Darryl Shular (fiancé Lindsey Flores) of Cibolo, Texas; nieces, Shacobi Hunt (Andrew) of Schertz, Texas, La’Britni Wolridge of Iowa Colony, Texas, Chelsea Wolridge of Missouri City, Texas and Danielle Williams of Houston, Texas; great nephews and nieces, Andrew, Jr., Leila, Nash and Kylie and a host of family and friends to cherish his memory.

If you are attending the memorial service, the family requests that masks be worn.
