Alma was a fellow 1984 Churchill Charger graduate with me whom I met through her husband Paul. I was a groomsman in Paul and Alma’s wedding. She also cut my hair for several years. Alma had a wonderful spirit and a was always friendly and caring. I will miss her and will pray for her family during this difficult time.

Alma Pauline Dodd Pollard, a loving and devoted wife, daughter, sister, and aunt, was born on September 10, 1965, in Okinawa, Japan. She passed away peacefully on September 29, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of sixty-one.
Alma was a kindhearted soul who had a genuine love for people and a special way of making those around her feel cherished. Her loving nature, warm spirit, and compassion touched the lives of many. Above all, Alma was family-oriented and treasured the bonds she shared with her loved ones. Her spiritual nature and gentle heart were a reflection of the love she carried throughout her life.
She is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Tomiko Ikehara, step-parents Peggy and Howard Huntsman, as well as Parent In-Laws Don and Patricia Pollard, as well as nephew Josh Pollard.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of twenty-three years, Paul Pollard; her father, Edward Dodd; and her dear siblings, Mary Keil (Phillip), Bobby Dodd, Kim McCarty (Lamar), and Lynn McCoy (John). She also leaves behind her cherished nephew, Jon Keil, in-laws Dan and Stacie Pollard, nephew Mason (Kathryn), nephew Kyle (Emily), great niece Josie, great nephew Joshua, and aunt Dorothy Tucker. along with numerous other family members and friends who will forever hold her close in their hearts.
Though Alma’s passing leaves an immeasurable void in the lives of those who loved her, the kindness, warmth, and love she shared will continue to live on through the many lives she touched. Her memory will remain a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A memorial service honoring Alma’s life will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at a later date. Details will be announced once arrangements have been finalized.
