Alvin Robinson

Alvin Robinson, 91, entered this life on October 3, 1915, born to Claude and Ollie Robinson, both preceding him in death. Alvin went home to be with our Lord on Monday, February 26, 2007. He attended public school in Yoakum, TX. In 1925 he moved to San Antonio and continued his education at Douglas High School. He served in the US Army from 1942-1946. He was united in Holy Matrimony in 1949 to Vernice Talley and to this union two children were born, Linda Robinson and Michael Robinson. Alvin is survived by his daughter, Linda Robinson and fiancé, Leonard Morales; son, Michael Robinson and wife, Michele; granddaughters, Kasey Hampton and husband, Jeff, and Nicol Robinson; nieces, Sammie Robinson, Sharon Robinson and Lisa McWilliam; nephew, Cecil Robinson; loving Goddaughter, Cynthia Noble and a host of relatives and friends. Alvin was preceded in death by his wife, Vernice, who passed away on September 14, 2001; sister, Forstyne McNeil; 2 brothers, Samuel and Claude Robinsonis. Visitation is scheduled from 5PM to 7PM on Monday, March 5, 2007 at the Meadowlawn Tribute Center. Funeral services are scheduled for 11AM on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at New Light Baptist Church with burial to follow with full military honors at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
