We gather today to celebrate the remarkable life of Anna Marie Bouldin – Mitchell, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.
Born on May 23, 1944 to Sammie Bouldin and Murtseal Lampkin in San Antonio, Texas. Anna graduated from Wheatley High School. Anna married Arnold D. Mitchell on January 30, 1969. After graduation, Anna received her associate’s degree in nursing from San Antonio College. She was a loving and caring individual to her family and her patients. Anna began her nursing career as an Intensive Care Registered Nurse with the Nix Hospital and after 40 years of dedicated service, she retired from Metropolitan Methodist Hospital.
Anna found the Lord at an early age and was a member of Bethel International Christian Fellowship. During her time there, she served in the Health Care Ministry.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Murtseal and Sammie, and two grandsons, Devin and Warren and leaves to mourn her children Stephanie George, from Dallas, Eliza Hillyer (Dereck), Dawn Bouldin, Darren Bouldin (Jenny), Arnold Mitchell Jr., Michael Mitchell (Hether), and Angela Mitchell-Hubbard (Aubrey); brothers Sammie Bouldin Jr. and Bernard Bouldin, sisters Maria Ivey and Yvonne Wilson, 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
