Anne Marie Swanson

Our beloved mother, grandmother, wife, and friend, Anne Marie (Colette) Swanson, entered into eternal rest on July 12, 2021, at the age of 90. She was born in Luxembourg on April 8, 1931. At a young age, she met and married the love of her life, William Swanson, and followed him across the world in his career as an Air Force Pilot. They shared a blissful union of over 50 years and raised a family of two, William Swanson and Tonia Caroline Swanson. Anne was generous with her affection: usually lavishing her attention on her dogs, her grandchildren Sandra Jones & Ashly Gunn, her great grandchildren (Reese, Tyler & Kyle), and the occasional slot machine in Vegas. Anne was a faithful Catholic who never wore blue jeans. Always dressed to the nines, she would immediately grab the attention as she would sweep into a room. Anne’s playful and witty personality had a positive and lasting impact on others and her love for dancing was contagious. She was strong, caring, and adored her family dearly. She will be forever remembered in our hearts for her warm, genuine, unconditional love shown to all that surrounded her. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Tonia Myers. She leaves to cherish, her son Bill Swanson, her two granddaughters, Ashly Gunn and Sandra Jones, including her three great grandsons, who were the light of her life.
