Barnell Mackey

He was the only son born to Herman and Alberta Mackey, who preceded him in death. He was born on February 8, 1927 in St. John’s Colony, Texas near Lockhart, Texas, where he also attended school. He is the grandson of Rev. Alley and Emma Carter. He had also spent 12 years in the US Army. He was employed at Fort Sam Houston for many years. He met and dated a young woman, to which his only child was born. He leaves to mourn 1 daughter, Sherrie Anderson; 1 son-in-law, Kenneth Sr. and 1 grandson, Kenneth Jr. (K.J.); an uncle, Rev. Carter, and a host of cousins and friends.
