Benny L. Baeza

God saw you getting tired. When a cure was not to be, He closed His arms around you and whispered, "Come to Me" In tears we saw you sinking. We watched you fade away. Our hearts were broken; you fought so hard to stay. But when we saw you sleeping so peacefully free from pain, we could not wish you back to suffer so again. So keep your arms around him Lord, and give him special care. Make up for all he suffered and all that seemed unfair. Benny Leroy Baeza, beloved grandfather, father, brother, uncle and friend, passed away on October 16, 2008 at the age of 63 years old at his home in Cibolo, Texas. He is survived by his daughters, Kellie Mitchell of Cibolo and Jennifer Baeza of San Antonio, his son, Michael Baeza of Cibolo and grandchildren, Shelbie, Kaila, Mackenzie, Haylie, Hunter and Austin; his brother, John Baeza of Houston, numerous nieces and nephews, and many, many friends. Since retirement, "Poppie's" sole purpose is life was to enjoy his time with his grandchildren, never refusing them the opportunity to help him "hand-feed" his prized possession, Charlie the long-horn steer, riding the lawn mower cutting the grass, or baiting their line to fish at the coast. Poppie you will be dearly missed. We Love You. A private memorial service is planned for Saturday, October 25, 2008, beneath the oak trees he loved so much at the family home.
