Beulah May Robinson, affectionately known as Mama B, passed away on April 28, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. Born to Walter and Callie Williams, on March 28, 1928, in Phelps, Texas, she was a beacon of light and warmth to her family and friends she dearly loved. Her parents raised her to know and love our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Mama B was a cherished member of the Williams family, sister to Rosetta Hill, Lommie Ree Stevenson, Jimmie L. Bean, Authur Williams, C.Y. Williams, and Clarence Williams. In 1948, she married her beloved Kelly D. Robinson, marking the beginning of a shared life filled with love and devotion. They were active members of Gardendale Community Baptist Church. A graduate of a nurse’s aide program at St. Phillips College, Mama B worked at Baptist Hospital for over 25 years, retiring there.
Mama B’s love extended to her seven children, Ronald (Beverly) Robinson, Donald (Yuang) Robinson, Delores Ann Robinson, Kelly (Victoria) Robinson, Katheryn Rector, Carol Adderley, and Mildred Jean (Jerome) Paul, who remember her as a nurturing soul, always ready with a comforting word or an engaging story. Her eleven grandchildren, Farrah (Hector) Quintero, Jon Robinson, Krystal (Marcus) Clift, Jessica Sawyer, Anthony (Megan) Robinson, Quinton (Jesika) Paul, Joshua Paul, Kimberly Paul, Brandon Mallery, Cameron Paul, and Kayla Adderley, and eleven great grandchildren will carry her legacy of kindness and joy.
Every morning and night, she devoted her time to reading the Bible and praying. A master of word search puzzles, dominoes, and playing cards, Mama B also graced many with her talent as a baker. Her famous pound cake was the highlight of family dinner gatherings. She also loved to fish and travel to visit her family. She enjoyed the many family reunions that she attended. Predeceased by her parents, husband, siblings, son Ronald, and daughter Delores, Mama B’s memory will be cherished and kept alive by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and friends.
