Beloved husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Billy Fred Henderson passed away on April 13, 2006 at the age of 70. Fondly known as “Grandpa Bill”, Billy was born to Wilma and Fred Henderson in Dexter, Missouri. Billy was known for his outgoing personality and ability to make instant friends In June of 1980, he moved to San Antonio, Texas where he met his wife, Janie, whom he married two weeks later. They were married for 26 years. Billy and Janie enjoyed many activities together and were members of dance troupes that performed at various Parks & Recreation activities. They received a standing ovation while performing with the Epoca De Oro in 2000. In that same year, they were featured on the cover of Humana Active Outlook magazine. After his retirement in 1994, Billy worked as a product demonstrator at several local HEB stores. Billy is survived b his devoted wife, Janie, brother Donald (Jeri) Henderson of Lockhart, TX, sister Linda (Jim Bob) Daughtery of Missouri, daughter Penny (Craig) Stahl of Maryland, sons Mark (Jackie) Henderson of Florida, Billy (Debbie) Henderson of Kentucky. Stepchildren: Larry (Gloria) Alderete, Jerry (Virginia) Alderete, Jesse (Lucy) Alderete, Sixta Ann (Pete) Mc Kinlay, and Rita Alderete, 15 Grandchildren and 7 Great-Grandchildren. Billy was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
