Bryon Darrell Pursley
April 2, 1969 ~ May 8, 2026
Born in:
San Antonio, TX
Resided in:
San Antonio, TX
Beloved son of James B. Pursley and Sandra J. Pursley, he went to join his mother in heaven. He is survived by his father and sister Sheryl Pursley and several nieces and nephews. Bryon learned to play the drums in high school and was a member of the Boerne High School band. He soon formed his own heavy metal rock band, playing guitar and writing his own music and songs. Music was always a large part of his life. For recreation, he loved going to the river to spend time with friends swimming and fishing, always trying to catch “the big one”.
During his life, he worked various jobs, including being a long-haul truck driver. Driving a huge 18-wheeler from coast to coast. Always sending his parents beautiful photos of the scenery observed in his travels. In recent years, he began gathering various unique tree limbs and turned them into works of art as walking sticks with carved faces and glass and metal inlays, giving many away to friends. When he became ill, he was determined he would fight bravely and with dignity. He will be dearly missed.
