Our beloved mother, Carol Ann Bentley, received the greatest reward on February 1, 2024 at the
age of 76. Where she transitioned from this Earthly Realm to Eternal Everlasting Life. She was
born on December 24, 1947 to Carlos B. Lott Sr. and Adelaide Perryman in San Antonio, Texas.
She was baptized at a young age into the Christian Faith.

Carol has always been active in the churches of her community. She last attended New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church, where she
served on the nurse’s ministry and was an active member for several years until her health begun to fail.

Carol graduated from South San Antonio High School in the year of 1966. She later studied nursing at Saint Phillips College at which she then decided to change her career path. She became employed at Southwestern Bell, now known as AT&T, where she worked as an operator in telecommunications, retiring after 20 years of service.

Carol was loving, caring, and the most giving person one could ever meet. She dearly loved her
children, grandchildren, great grandsons and all of her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed
bowling as she was part of league with Southwestern Bell. She was an avid reader so much so
that she had a large collection of books that she would often read two to three books a week.

She was not just a loving mother to her own children but played a role in the lives of her
children’s friends by opening her door and letting them in as if they were her very own.

Carol will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her children: Anthony Maurice Jackson, Diane Jackson, and Benjamin
Lamont Bentley (Brandi); 3 grandchildren: Anthony Maurice Lenzy, Serenity Da’jour Lenzy, and
Alexandra Larson; 3 great-grandsons: Majesty Maurice Johnson, Titan Marcellus Johnson, and
Legend Master Johnson; her siblings: Carlos Lott (Juanita), Clinton Lott (Lena), Charles Lott
(Monica), John Lott (Jacqueline), Larry Lott, Sandra Lott, and Michael Lott (Adrienne); A host
of nieces, nephews, relatives and close friends.

  1. CandleImageMom,
The Lord knows that I am doing all that I can to process this.
To know that you have transitioned from this Earthly Realm to your New Home in Glory gives me some comfort.
You were my “truest” best friend!
There will never be enough words to express just how much I am going to miss you.
I will continue to keep my eyes to the sky with the expectation that when the sun shines down on me. It will be you!

  2. CandleImageMy heartfelt condolences to Tony, Diane, Benji and the entire Lott family. I’m at a loss for words but I do want to say “Thank You” for my open invitation that never ran out. You included me in everything and always made sure Diane kept me in the loop. I’m going to miss making you laugh but will forever cherish all the fun that was had. You rest now Momma Carol and know I’ll always be here for my sissy Diane.

  3. CandleImageMy Beloved Mother,
As I sit here day and night trying to process. Your tranference of residence from the Eartly Realm to Eternity is the ONLY thing that gives me a sense of peace.

  6. CandleImageSis, it’s going to take me a while to face the reality that you are no longer here on this earth with us. I’ll miss our daily chats with you and mom. My consolation is that God knows best! Though your going home to glory was so unexpected, I know you are at eternal rest and will no longer have to deal with any more pain. It goes without saying, I’ll miss you immensely. So until we are together again, rest in peace.
