Cedric Leroy Rice

Cedric Leroy Rice was born February 1, 1970 to Mrs. Betty Jean McAfee. He joined New Greater Matthew Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. J.J. Rector, Jr. Cedric attended Jaspher Elementary and went on to Sam Houston High School where he graduated in 1990. Although he was deaf and blind, Cedric held a part time job at Lackland Air Force Base, Roeglin Meat Company on the assembly line and Fort Sam Houston. Cedric loved working with his hands. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Vernon McAfee; grandparents, Patience and Joe Nathan Johnson; great-great grandmother, Beatrice Johnson; two uncles, Otis L. Carter and Clarence Robinson; and one aunt, Virginia Wicks. He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Betty McAfee; three brothers, Eric Dunmore, Terry Dunmore and Joe Rice; two sisters, Racheal Houston and Jeanette Rice all of San Antonio; six aunts, Fannie Dunmore, Mamie Holmes, Sharon Lewis (Paul) all of San Antonio, Katie Johnson (Roy) of Garwood, Evelyn Johnson (Clemon) of Eagle Lake, Texas, Jo Johnson (Joe) of Columbus, Texas; twenty-nine nieces and nephews; one great-great aunt, Cornelious Washington of Austin, Texas; and numerous cousins and friends. We loved you, but God loved you best. Your soul is resting now until we meet again. Rest in peace. We all love you and will surely miss you.
