Cheryl L. Thompson was born on July 22, 1961, to the proud parents of Burl Kindrick and Virginia McFann in San Antonio, Texas. On Tuesday, October 11, 2022, God called his angel home.

 Cheryl accepted Christ at an early age, and she became a member of the Emmanuel AME Church.  She received her education from the San Antonio Independent School District and graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1979.  Cheryl continued her education and received her Cosmetology License.

 Cheryl was known as Big Mama and or Pig to her beloved family and friends.  She was a nurturing woman and her love for giving unconditionally and her passion for cooking for everyone was her humble assurance that you were fed, loved and always welcome in her home.  Cheryl was a people person, she was loyal and faithful to her family and friends and had a knack for making everyone feel special.

Cheryl met David Wayne Thompson and he became the love of her life, they united in Holy Matrimony on April 12, 2000 and they welcomed two wonderful sons to this union.

 Proceeding Cheryl in death are her beloved son; D’Angelo Lamont Thompson; parents, Burl Kindrick and Virginia McFann and her in laws, Leevorn and Josephine Love Thompson.

Cheryl leaves to cherish her beautiful memories, her husband, David Wayne Thompson, I; son, David Wayne Thompson, II; daughter, Charmaine (James) Kelly; grandchildren, Avonia Moss, II, Brittany Thompson, Aviyah Moss; great grandchildren, Kace Harvey and Avonia Moss, III; brothers, Mark (Charlesetta) Kindrick, Darryl McPherson, Garlan (Allison) McPherson, Kenneth McPherson and Anthony Kindrick; sisters, Valeria (Anthony, I) Ward and Roxie Maltz; stepfather, Robert (Cornelia) McPherson of; sisters-in-law, Cheryl Littles, Jeannette (Clifford)Forrest, Charline (Jeff) Burks, Darlene (Michael) Smith and Lori (Kenny) Thompson; brother-in-law, Darrell Thompson and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and other special relatives and friends.
