Born in: Katy, Texas
Resided in: San Antonio, Texas

Clayton Lee Hyatt, born on November 25, 1964, in Katy, Texas, passed away on October 24, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, strength, and cherished memories. Above all else, Clayton was a family man whose greatest joy came from bringing the people he loved together.

A true craftsman at heart, Clayton was a talented and skilled man who could fix, build, or create just about anything around the house. There was little he couldn’t figure out, and he took pride in working with his hands and finding ways to get things done. His talents, determination, and willingness to lend a helping hand were just a few of the qualities that made him so special to those who knew him.

Clayton had a big heart and a fun-loving spirit. He loved cooking and barbecuing, especially when it meant gathering family around the table, sharing good food, and making memories together. He knew how to turn an ordinary day into a special occasion simply by bringing everyone together. Whether he was enjoying a fishing trip, cheering on his beloved Dallas Cowboys, or singing and dancing, Clayton embraced the things that made life enjoyable.

Music was another one of Clayton’s many loves. He enjoyed singing karaoke, especially Christian and country music, and was never afraid to let loose and have a good time. His goofy personality, playful nature, and ability to make people laugh brought joy to those around him. He had a way of making people feel comfortable, creating moments of laughter, and leaving behind stories that his loved ones will continue to share for years to come.

Clayton was also a fighter. When faced with cancer, he met the challenge with strength and determination. He fought through his battle, beat cancer, and proudly rang the bell—a powerful moment that represented his courage, perseverance, and victory over an incredibly difficult season of life. His journey was a testament to his resilience and the strength he carried within him.

While his passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who loved him, Clayton’s legacy lives on through the family he cherished, the skills he shared, the meals he prepared, the songs he sang, and the laughter he brought into their lives. The memories made with him will forever remain a source of comfort, reminding his family that love does not end with goodbye.

Clayton is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Fabela; his children, Ernesto Hernandez, Crystal Morazan (Francisco), Joe Albert Gereb, Vanessa Beltran (Antonio), and Daniela Gereb; his grandchildren, Isabella, Gabriel, Dominic, Alaina, Joshua, Brandon, Miguel, Gracie (Mateo), Oswald, and Secily; and his great-grandchildren, Mariana and Daniel. He is also survived by his mother, Sharon Lewis; and his siblings, Roxanna, Cat, Dallas Bertasz, Robert Hyatt Jr., Stephanie Flores, Jennifer Upton, and Justin Hyatt, along with many extended family members and loved ones who will miss him dearly.
