Daniel Lee Perkins, Jr.

Daniel Lee Perkins Jr., born January 27, 1944, entered into rest on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at age 75. Mr. Perkins is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Lee Perkins, Sr., and Willie Lee Perkins. He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy Perkins; son, Carlton Wagne Perkins; daughters, Angela Yvonne Bridges and Dorothy L’Amour Burch; sisters, Joyce Mayfield, Bernice Anderson, Lee Etta Perkins, Helen Perkins, Helen Ruth; and brothers, Clarence Thomas, Walter Perkins, and Booker T. Washington; and grandchildren, Marshall, Precious, Sade, Freddie Lee, Lil Carlton, Trenton Cordell, Shaina Arielle, Arlene, Jeremy, Dinah Cassia, Mago L’Amour, Gracie Ann-Mercy, Joseph, Grantham Patrick-O’Neal, and Zoe Grace. Mr. Perkins is remembered for many things, most of all for his joy in making others, family and friends, feel loved and making them happy. He was a retired iron worker and absolutely loved to paint houses. Mr. Perkins was often called the “Candy Man” because he always had a candy and a smile to give to help brighten the day. He was loved by many and has left memories that will be cherished forever.
