Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Darrell Seely, entered eternal rest on the 16th of September, at the age of 76 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on April 30, 1948 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to the late Eugene and Wilma Seely.
Darrell was a hard worker, and devoted husband and father. Out of his first union, he gained a son, Michael Seely. Later in his life, he met and married his best friend, Sandra Mansfield. The two established a blended family, welcoming two additions: Dawn Revell and Michael Hill. They shared a beautiful union together until his departure.
Although Darrell was a family man, he also took pride in proudly serving in the United States Army. After his military career, he worked as a truck driver for Ruan/Johnson Controls, for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing golf, gardening, and watching nostalgic movies and tv episodes.
Darrell will be forever cherished and deeply missed by all his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He leaves in his memory, his beloved wife, Sandra Seely, of 18 years, children: Michael Seely (Lisa), Dawn Revell (Ben), Michael Hill; three grandsons: Anthony Counts (Cassie), David Gabriel Russell, and Hayden Hill; his brother: Dwight “Gene” Seely (Marilyn), a special friend: Elida Jimenez; and numerous other close relatives and friends.

You were such an amazing man. Thank you for being my mom’s rock, and it was an honor to call you Dad and Awpaw. We love you, and we miss you.
I wish we had more time to make memories together. My heart will be wrapped in yours until the day we meet again.
No goodbye was long enough for the man who gave me life and purpose. I miss you more than words could ever say. I still reach for the phone to call you when I need advice. Our talks are now just memories. Miss you, Dad.

I wish you knew how much I appreciated and loved you. You don’t know how much you meant to me as your daughter-in-law—you were like a second father.
You always showed up, and I didn’t thank you enough, but I sure wish I could thank you more than I did, and here is what I’d say:
Thank you for raising a wonderful hard working son and having your wonderful son, now my husband of 17 years. I especially thank you for accepting me as his girlfriend 23 yrs ago.
Thank you for all the great times when you joined us going on vacation together. We will always cherish those moments. I love you Dad!
