  1. CandleImageDave was certainly one of a kind. He could tell a story that would keep you in stitches all while sprinkling in a few “Daveisms”. No one had a bigger heart than he did. He would give you the shirt off his back. He was a true friend, loyal, funny, honest, a real cowboy, patriot, hard working, great salesman, negotiator, western dancer, and could charm the socks off of anyone.
We will miss you, Dave, but look forward to seeing you in the future. God’s speed, friend.

    • CandleImageJan, I think you described Dave to a “T.” He was the love of my life and would do anything for me. I was the lucky one to have his love all these years.

  2. Dave was as good a friend as anyone could have, if he was your friend he would do anything for you. I had many good times with Dave as my golf partner, especially on the 19th hole. I will miss my dear friend.

  3. CandleImageDave was the love of my life. After 36 years of marriage, I can truly say we had unconditional love for one another. There was nothing he would not do for me. I remember a time when I had foot surgery and getting around was difficult. I had asked if he would plant a large bag of tulip blubs for me, which was not his thing. He said “sure, I’ll do anything for you.” He got our wheel barrel, put me and the bag of tulips in and wheeled us to the spot where he planted them to my liking. We laughed about that many times. He always said “I’ll do anything for you Shirley” and he meant it until the day he passed. I will always miss you my love.

  4. CandleImageI didn’t know Mr. Gafford other than the short time I took care of him while he was in the ICU. He seemed like a good man, and what an amazing family. My condolences to all who knew and loved him.

  5. CandleImageThis does describe Uncle Dave spot on! Growing up he was the life of any family get together. Funny as all get out and could tell stories that would leave you with your mouth open only to want to slug him when he was done! The kidder of all kidders… If you ever met him, you would definitely remember him. He will be greatly missed.
