David played multiple sports while growing up in San Antonio, but his focus changed to music and percussion when he reached high school. David often enjoyed cooking; particularly grilling, as well as fishing, hunting, riding his bike, walking his dog Simon, and staying active. He was considered by many as a great friend who was always very giving and social. David was also a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the San Antonio Spurs.
