  1. CandleImageI have no words to Express the loss that you all must be feeling with the Loss of Gino. She was a true friend to me. I can see her smile every time I think of her. I will keep all of the family in my Prayers, and ask you to remember that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
While we all loved her, I know that God Loved her best.

  2. CandleImageI met Gino at my nephew’s college graduation. I could tell she was a woman with a very special heart. We shared a breakfast at a B&B in Georgetown Texas sharing stories of our lives. Gino was a very special friend to my sister, Sharrion. Sharrion would share stories of the times she spent with Gino. I just lost my Honey Bunny, Clarence on June 4,2023. My lost is still so raw for me, but I know My Heavenly Father and Clarence are both watching over me from Heaven as I start my life. Jesse and Khalilah and the rest of Gino’s family, please know your Heavenly Father and Gino are watching over you too. In my heart I know we will see both Clarence and Gino again one day. God Bless you all. Janice

  3. CandleImageI had met Gino thru Gerry a couple of times at social gatherings but got to spend quality time with her over this year’s Kentucky Derby weekend. She was a special lady, smart, pretty, and fun. And she loved her family and friends fiercely. The world has lost a sweet and caring soul but she left an indelible Gino mark on it.

God bless her family and special friends as we mourn the loss.

  4. CandleImageI have known Gino for decades. When my mother died, Gino gave me one of her white dresses-a wraparound-to wear for the funeral. I met Gino when she first transferred to Fisk from Wayne State after graduating from Cass Tech. It is through a veil of tears that I commemorate Gino’s transition. I will add something-a tea rose and (perhaps English) ivy under my memorial tree for her.
The Bible, Psalms 116:15, says that we should be comforted in knowing that God welcomes the faithful. However, I am incredibly saddened by Gino’s passing. I remember when Gino became a mom. She was happy beyond measure. I crocheted a blanket for Khalilah. I was a beginning crocheter, but Gino was so gracious and appreciative of my gift. You would have thought it was flawless, which it probably wasn’t. I always thought I would see her again on this side. Now this, instead.

  5. I met Gino through Gerry Tucker years ago. She was personable, friendly and just an all-around good person. We’ve had many good conversations through the years and I appreciate the times we shared together. The Kentucky Derby will not be the same without Gino. May her soul travel well.

  6. CandleImageGino was a close friend from Fisk. We pledged AKA together and were next to each other on line. We remained friends until the end. We talked recently about going to the last Fisk Reunion but she couldn’t come and we talked about getting together later. She sounded so good it is hard for me to believe she is gone. She will certainly be missed.
