Our beloved Dianne M. Jones, entered into heaven’s gates on July 24, 2022 at the young age of 68. She was born on April 23, 1954 in San Antonio, Texas to the late: Emmit and Bertha Edwards.
Dianne was a nurturing and loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She had a heart of gold and was always extending her helping hand to anyone in need. She was a graduate of Brackenridge high school, class of 1972.
Dianne was also a dedicated member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, where she grew spiritually, as her faith was very important to her. She worked for University Health System, as a Senior Medical Records Clerk, retiring after 31 years.
In her spare time, she enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys and the San Antonio Spurs which were her absolute favorite teams, going to Whataburger for a #2 or a #3, Church’s Chicken, and most certainly, Dianne never forgot her cup of coffee.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and her brother: Emmit “Bubba” Edwards, and nieces: Meshon Edwards and Latrice Beechum-Clay.
Her memories will be cherished and kept alive by her children: Darold L. Edwards (Kesha), Tennesha E. Jones, and Christopher D. Jones (Shantella); 11 grandchildren: Shavon Edwards, Jayland Pope, Javon Pope, Denesa Townsend, Delicia Townsend, Darius Parther, Alicia Edwards, Tyanna Jones, Sean Wright, Amari Jones, Ariya Jones; her 9 great-grandchildren: Kingston Edwards, Thaddeus Zepeda, Julie Zepeda, Maximus Zepeda, Maxine Zepeda, Kaira Rice, Meliyah Townsend, Brandon Brewton, and Brenda Brewton; her only brother: Emmit Thompson (Mae); nephews: Reginald Thompson, Dana Thompson, and numerous other close relatives and friends.
She will be greatly missed by all of her family, friends, and loved ones.

Darold, Chris, Tennesha and family, you all have my most sincere and heartfelt condolences and sympathy on the home going of your beloved mother. Dianne was all that and more that is written in her obituary.
She was so full of life and loved life to the fullest. There’s not a day that I will not think of her.
