Resided in: San Antonio, Texas

Donnie Durst was born January 5, 1953 in San Marcos, Texas. He was the fourth born of seven children and moved to San Antonio, TX with his family at the age of three. He attended Fox Tech High School and graduated from Brackenridge High School’s Work Program; showing even at a young age he was always a hard worker.

Donnie’s first job was at the age of 12, delivering on a paper route. He worked several years at Coca Cola and other jobs, before finally finding his niche driving for the US Postal Service. He was a loyal employee, driving for the mail carrier service for 38 years.

Donnie was a devoted father, a wonderful paw paw and a supportive uncle, brother, and friend. He was fun loving and believed in living his life to the fullest, spending time enjoying the things he loved to do. Donnie loved gathering with family and friends whether it be at home or on fishing trips and vacations. He gladly took on the responsibility of planning the annual family reunion in which all his friends were included as part of his family. He also had a love for restoring old cars, riding his motorcycle and he was an avid Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs fan.

Donnie leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter and son-in-law Dawn (Floyd) Turbin and three grandchildren Floyd Turbin, Jr (who Paw Paw lovingly referred to as Turbo), Zuri Turbin, and Zayden Turbin; stepdaughter and son-in-law Shawnte (Christopher) Miller; four Siblings Kathryn Davis (San Antonio, TX), Mary Perryman (Houston, TX), Dennis Durst (San Antonio, TX), and Kenneth Durst (San Antonio, TX); his long time Significant Other Yolanda Lewis, Janecia Lewis and two granddaughters Deijhani and Deishani Anderson and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends
