Donald William Belknap

Donald W. Belknap, age 87, passed away August 7, 2013 in San Antonio, Texas. Donald was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and great grandfather. Although he was in failing health, Don did not lose his sense of humor or uplifting attitude; he will be missed by all who knew him. He was a veteran of WWII, decorated with WWII Victory Medal, American Campaign Medal, Distinguished Unit Badge, European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Presidential Unit Citation and a purple heart. He retired from Allstate Insurance Co. in 1993 where he was an Agent for 30 years. Don was Born in Detroit, MI. and married Carol, raising their 4 children and making a home in St. Clair Shores, MI and neighboring communities. When Carol passed away, Don moved to San Antonio, Texas near his daughter Lori. Donald was preceded in death by his wife Carol Belknap, son David Belknap, and brother Warren Belknap. He is survived by daughters Beverly, Connie, Lori and daughter-in-law Rose. A memorial is planned for either Naples, FL or in Michigan where Bev and Connie will arrange with family.
