April 4, 1940 ~ September 20, 2024

Born in: Luling, Texas
Resided in: Cibolo, Texas

Our beloved mother and grandmother, Doris Jean Turner, affectionately known as “Susie,” entered eternal rest on September 20, 2024 at the age of 84. She has gone to her reward in heaven. Doris was born on April 4, 1940 to the late parents: Cleat and Annie Mae Littlefield in Luling, Texas.

“Susie” was a woman of faith. She attended New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church, where she remained an active member for several years. She was also a member of the Dignitary Social Group.

“Susie” grew up in Luling, Texas where she graduated from Luling High School. She later attended St. Philip College, where she studied nursing. Susie held various job titles, from working at Joskes department store, to Turbine, and ending a career in the home health care industry where she provided gentle care to those in need.

“Susie” met and married the love of her life, Everett Turner. The two shared a union of 65 wonderful years together, raising a family of 2 daughters, and supporting his military career until his departure in August of 2023.

“Susie” was a very loving, but strong and confident woman. She and her husband were amazing hosts, as they thoroughly enjoyed throwing the best “New Year’s Eve parties one could attend. She also enjoyed shopping, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Our memories of her are countless and will be forever cherished. She will be dearly missed.

She was greeted in heaven by her parents, and her husband, Everett Turner.

She leaves to cherish in her memory: her loving children: Sharon Faust (Vincent), and Vicki Turner, three grandchildren: Vincent Faust II, Everett James Faust, and Nicolas Robinson; four great-grandchildren: Triniti, Sarai, Mark, and Nic Jr., and numerous other close relatives and friends.
