Dorothy Mae Zambrano was born August 28, 1941 in St. Louis, Missouri to parents Lonnie Smith and Mary Knox. She entered eternal rest Wednesday November 30, 2022 at the age of 81.
Dorothy was known for her kind heart, love for her family, and her craftiness. Whether it was tearing down walls or reupholstering her furniture, or tending to her garden, Dorothy loved to remodel and improve her home. She loved nothing more than visiting Home Depot, often including herself in their briefing meetings. She was truly Home Depot’s number one fan!
Dorothy is preceded in death by both loving parents. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Rachelle Arrington, Sons Lucius Shaver, Thomas Collins and Richie Collins. She also leaves behind her sister Esther Roman, daughter-in-law Sherry Shaver, grandchildren Cynthia, A.J, Tijae, Alexis, and Caitlyn, and her beloved fur baby Bella.
Dorothy leaves behind a life and legacy that will not soon be forgotten. She will be missed dearly by all that had the pleasure of knowing her.
Dorothy was a beautiful person inside and out just being around her was a joy. She was so sweet and loving. I’m going to miss her beautiful face and smile. I know she is resting and sitting next to God. You will be missed mom love you.
