DWAYNE'S "Bo's" LIFE JOURNEY Dwayne Lee Owens or "Bo" as he was affectinately called, was born to Freddie Lee Owens and Cheryl Owens in Beaumont, Texas on June 8, 1953. Rev. Harry Mitchell baptized Dwayne at the age of 12 years old at St. Peter Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Hebert High School, class of 1981. Dwayne attended Lamar University where he met and married Ingrid Haley. Two daughters were born to this union; Chesna Owens-Long and Corie Owens. Dwayne served in the U.S. Army from February 1982 to February 1985. After his military service he was employed by AT&T from 1987 to 1992. Dwayne was a giving person and loved sharing God's word with others. He loved the Lord and trusted in His Word. His hands were always extended in an effort to help where ever he could. His daughters, Chesna and Corie whom he loved unconditioally, and sometimes referred to as "The Girls" were a constant joy and a ray of sunshine in his life. His Master called Dwayne to his reward on March 21, 2016. His brother Dwuane T. Owens precedes him in death. Dwayne leaves precious memories to be cherished by his daughters; Chesna Owens Long (Brandon) and Corie Owens; two grandchildren, Hayden Daniels and Brayson Long; parents, Freddie and Cheryl Owens; two sisters, Gadrial Vallier (Joseph) and Vinnie Davis (Michael). five uncles and two aunts, along with dear friends Regina talbott, Ingrid and Kenneth Horne, Leroy and Melrose Haley, Glen Francis, Robert Duncan, Dan and Bernadette Henderson and a host of newpheww, nieces other relatives and friends.
