Born in: Runge, Texas
Resided in: San Antonio, Texas

Our beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, bother and friend Edward Leon Bailey, known to most as “Lalo”, passed away in his home June 7, 2023. He was born January 18, 1937, in Karnes City, Texas to the late James and Zelma Bailey. Edward was a truck driver for 36+ years with Borden Dairy Company as a truck driver until his retirement at 64 years of age. Edward had three children with his first marriage, and later raised three more as his own to his second marriage with Susi Bailey. He was a great father, grandfather and friend. He was “old school” and had a heart of gold. He was very loving yet stern and gave tough love when he needed to. He was a very hard worker and made sure to impart important life lessons in all. He was always there when needed. In his later years he enjoyed watching western movies, going on long drives to reminisce about his younger days and to stop at his favorite restaurants to pick up food. Edward will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 20 years, Susi Bailey; parents; 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: Jackie, Charles and Mark; Crystal (Fidencio), Rane (Laura), Joshua, 14 grandchildren, Destiny, Analisa, Andrew, Eric, Daniella, Elliana, Jaelynn, Emily, Natalie, Junior, Triana, Skylar, Saania, Steven; 12 great – grandchildren, J’vier, Suzi, Gabriella, Edward, Mason, Sebastian, Elian, Junior, Justus, Devine, Elijah, Alivia; 4 siblings, Ora Lee, Rose, Joe and Paul; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
