Elda Nino
August 28, 1954 ~ May 13, 2023
Born in:
Alice, Texas
Resided in:
San Antonio, Texas
Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Elda Niño, gained her heavenly wings peacefully on May 13, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas with her family at her side. She was 68 years of age. Elda was born to the parents: Ramiro Niño and Esperanza Izquierdo on August 28, 1954 in Alice, Texas.
Elda was such a jewel. She was the most lovable person one could meet. Her spirit was so kind and she had the most generous heart. She was very family oriented and always put her family first. Elda was never married, however, as a single mother, she fulfilled the role of two raising her only two sons, Francisco and Juan. She never missed an event that took place in their lives.
Elda also believed in not only her family, but also in Jesus Christ. She strongly believed in her faith, and stood strong on the word of the Lord. In her spare time, she loved to watch Wrestling, as “The Rock” and “Shawn Michaels” were her favorite, play bingo, dress up in nice clothes, and eating Barbacoa Tacos. While Elda was able to work, her kind heart led her to care for patients. She worked as a Patient Care Tech at Charter Hospital for several years; many depended on her gentle care as their personal care provider.
Elda will be forever remembered as an amazing and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. Her family legacy will be cherished and her physical presence will be deeply missed.
Elda was greeted in heaven by her parents.
She is survived by her loving sons: Francisco Niño and Juan M. Monroy (Julie); 4 grandchildren: Mathew S. Niño, Francisco J. Niño Jr., Kimberly Niño, Joseph J. Niño all whom affectionately called her “Grandma”; 2 great-grandchildren: Nicolas E. Cantu and Noah M. Niño; sisters: Diana Noriega, Lydia (Abelardo) Teniente, Esmeralda Niño; brother: Alberto Niño; nephews: Abel Teniente, Jr., Alex Teniente, and Adrian Teniente; nieces: Iris Anzaldua, Alma and Abby Bellino (Frank), and numerous other close relatives and friends.
