Elena Lopez Flores was born July 7, 1955 in Converse, Texas to Manuel Lopez and Adela Garza. She went to be with the Lord on April 30, 2022 at the age of 66.  Elena resided in San Antonio, Texas, eventually becoming the loving Mother to four children. 

Elena accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord & Savior on March 26, 2022.  Many people came to love her happy and funny sense of humor, her laughter was very contagious, she was known to slip into a quick  conversation with just about anyone she met.

Elena was very outgoing, she loved to go shopping, go to yard sales, and she loved cooking her famous fideo w/meat for her adult children.  She loved all Fur Babies, “especially her fur-babies Chester & Chiquito”, she was known for adopting local cats, always feeding and providing a shelter for them. 

Elena is preceded in death by her parents, brother Anselmo “Sammy” & sister Natividad “Nancy”.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved children: Sons: “Richard Lopez & wife Diane Lopez”, Mario Flores, Fortino Flores, Daughter: Elvira Flores, & numerous grandchildren & great-grandchildren. 

Siblings: Brothers: “Manuel & wife Felicitia Lopez”, Santiago “Jimmy” Lopez, Sisters; Rosa Garza, “Maria & husband Abel Chicas”, & numerous nephews & nieces.

Elena will be missed tremendously, but will live forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her family is at peace knowing she is with the Lord and her loved ones in Heaven. They mourn and celebrate her life at the same time.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to: “Meadow Lawn Funeral Home”  towards the cost of burial expenses.
